I had 6000K HIDS on my ZX3 and I never ran into any problems with cops or anything. Most people just assumed it was a luxury car coming down the street LOL.

On the highway how ever I was flashed all the time.

I know everyone had their own opinion of what brand of HID they like. I saw these on ebay. Can anyone tell me if they are worth the money. I recognize McCulloch but i am not familiar with Autovizion.

nice install civic with nav, i noticed some peeps wanted to know where to mount the ballast. I mounted my driver's side ballast behind the collant tank, and put the passenger side ballast zip tied to the car if i had a camera i would take some pics....

I liked the DIY it was good I put in HID’s in my civic last year never had any problems with people high beaming me or cops pulling me over. Like someone else posted they think that its all factory, but I did try to say safe with a color mach of OEM Wight 4300K. I would recommend this color because all reflective signs glow, and easily seen. I have a picture of them on while sitting in the car but I’ll take a picture and show you were I mounted the ballast. I purchased my HID Kit off Extralights.com, they seem to be reliable, and have good products. I bought from them before. Hope this Post helps.

unless you have a little girly hands, it is nearly impossible to do because of the ABS unit blocking it.

I just got 6000k HID's and took some pix. hopefully this can help you all in the future

1) you would need an HID kit...DEPENDING ON THE KIT, you may or may not need to run the wiring harness...also get the kit that has the ignitor built in. if you see HID kits on ebay, it's the little black box (not the ballast)

ENJOY

What is the brand and model of your HID conversion kit?
Think the HUD ballast light source matches with the focal point of the reflector very well.
This is the BEST cutoff HID conversion without projector I've ever seen.

IMO I don't think that the kit would make a difference only the bulbs would.

I'm kind of assuming that the bulb is the same brand as the kit.
No offense, but doesn't the bulb comes with the kit ??

ya the bulbs should come with the kit but I don't think that the bulbs would be that different form each-other. I'm not here to start something Its Just my opinion.

Good luck with purchasing a kit.

wow thanks
10 bucks is a really good price for HID bulbs
I guess I can pay less attention to the brand of bulb.

I once helped my friend with his HID and his HID, my friend has a mercedes with reflector (not projector) somehow the light from his HID shines to the sides, but not in front.. lol

I was just worrying if it would happen to me too.
Guess civic is more versatile!!
Si FTW !! =D

Hey everyone,

I just installed a 8000k HID in my civic 08 and the lights seem super super bright.

I'm just wondering if everyone else's are super super bright as well. Maybe I'm not used to driving with HIDs.

The cut off is great though, I'll try and get some pictures up to show everyone what I mean.

The colour though isn't very blue, it's more white than blue. Any comments are much appreciated.

just did this on my car a few weeks ago. I gotta say its pretty much impossible to do it without turning the wheel and un buttoning the fender. It makes things so much easier. I tried doing it without it and i almost got my hand stuck on the passenger side. The driver side is pretty easy if u take the battery out.

i just bought cheap eurodezign bulbs off ebay, and they came in, 9006 bulbs, i was able to get the old bulb out without removing anything...

i took the old Sylvania bulb out and noticed it was a 9005, also on the harness where you attach the bulbs to the stock attachments, there's a 2-prong plastic track to keep things aligned, the bulbs i got have a single track, making them incompatible, what i don't understand is everyone was saying (at least from what i recall reading) that 9006's were the right model and when i purchased them off ebay they were for 06-08 civics

do i actually need 9005's or what? i could post a pick of the "alignment track" i'm speaking of if necessary
