Just got through doing this trick as well. Nice & thanks!

General notes for others:

Purple tapped wire goes to the cut blue wire on the relay.
Red/Black tapped wire goes to the cut Red/White on the relay.

The cut wires are covered individually and connect to nothing (I used a super small wire nut and black electricians tape to cover them).

Getting the relay off is PITA, I couldn't so I did the transition on the relay. Hard to do, but can be done with patience.

When using the Parking Lights - Fog lights will come on, but fogs indicator in the dash (to right of "lights on") WILL NOT be on.

When using the Main Lights - Fog lights will come on, but fogs indicator in the dash (to right of "lights on") WILL be on. Keep this in mind if you're not sure if the fogs are "on" - just turn your lights on, if the fogs are on, you'll have an indicator, if off, no indicator.

-----------

Next I want to put a switch on/into the DRL's Fuse (#37) - that way you could have parking lights, no DRL's, and Fog lights on / or just no DRL's

See this Post:
Is there a way to turn on DRLs with headlights

Only problem is being able to "mock up" the fuse to fit

Also like the DRL's on with low beams idea too:
DIY: DRL's on with low beams

I also want to know the same thing!
I installed my oem fogs and like em, but they only come on when the headlights are on. Our switch is on our turn signal arm - we don't have a push switch because of the stupid vsa switch in the 07!

Just a friendly reminder! There should be a function on your digital camera which shoot for "MACRO" environment. This setting should work out fine for those wire pictures even when you are shotting it real close!

A few things, most are probably noobish:

What do you lose by cutting the wires on the relay?

Can you cut the purple wire at the connector, or do you have to do it at the swtich?

What's the brand name of the taps you used?
