Yes, I tapped the wires at the top of the T and nothing. I put it back to factory and it works.....until I put the cover back in place now they don't work at all....I wish I never started this

The white wire is just power...I figured that out. I also tried the other blue wire just in case I did cut the wrong one and nothing. I can still hear the relay clicking when I turn the switch on tho

Don't know your number for one...lol I just went back out and checked it again...the fogs work like factory. I'll be going home in less than an hour...I might try again...right now I'm just aggravated right now......Pics I can have in about 2 hours but it's straight forward.
I pulled my fog light switch out and tapped into the purple wire. Ran the new lead off the purple to the blue on the relay which I cut I cut the red and white wire and spliced a new one on and spliced it into the red and black.....It's very simple, I know but I'm having a very difficult time getting them to work |

I know it's something small but I don't want to really mess something up. I need my fogs since I just tinted my lights. I think I'll just make sure they work like before and forget about this mod. I'm not an electrical genius and I don't want to burn anything up |

Ok, here's what I have....look at your pic for the fog light switch and purple wire...mines exactly the same
Now, Here's My relay...mind you these are messy as I'm not done yet and I hooked them back up to stock after cutting them. Also pay no attention to the blue wire with the scrap tape on it. That was my second cut because I thought I might have been wrong at first. My relay is upside down from your pic so I'm using the two wires on the bottom. You can see the connectors in place ![]() Originally I had the purple wire which comes from my switch (I kept the same color when I spliced) to the blue on the relay...now you see the loop in it because it went back to original ![]() ![]() The white/red I have going into the parking lamp wire red/black.....I knew this already from my courtesy light install and that's where I ran that.. ![]() It looks like a mess and it isn't hard to screw up but I did ![]() |

It doesn't look like it from the pic but those two are tied together using the same location that's why I don't understand why it doesn't work. My courtesy lights work so I know that there's current going through there with my parking lights. Thanks for trying tho. I'll give it one more shot this weekend. If it doesn't work, I'll leave it stock

To anyone who has done this, can you make a simple drawing on MS paint or something to show the location of the wires on the 6 pin and switch connecters and what we have to tap and connect to. I'm going to do this but I want to make sure that I know what to do before I start. Thanks

Excellent, thanks for the DIY.
My fogs are dealer-installed on a '07 ex coupe. What I would like to do is similar to what we have here, I would like to have the fog light switch operate the fogs anytime, without the parking or other lights on. It was how I wanted it to work, but this way is cool too. I am wondering where the power connect is with the parking lights? It is the the red/black wire from the blue 6 pin connector on the fuse box. . . . looks like it. So I wonder if I could take power from somewhere else to the the red/white wire in the 'T' on the relay box. I dunno? maybe. I understand the purple wire from the switch to the relay box 'T' blue wire. that makes sense. Is that purple somehow involved with the headlight system? allowing the fogs to be used when the headlights are on only, Hmm I wonder. OK! Let the games begin I may have to experiment, I wish I had my volt-meter (which is 300 miles away at my Dads house with all my other electrical tools). I have not done any electrical work in over 5 years Work permitting I will have a look at it this month, I got wire crimpers and cutters so I should be ready to rock. . . Oh Yeah. |
