I think they switch the fogs off for current draw issues... and in CA, you're not supposed to drive with the fogs on unless its foggy out...

(where they install stereos) i used to work there and theyll do about any electric work you ask em too. the guys at the one i used to work at would often install decks etc while people filled out the paperwork for the install lol on something especially this simple it should be cake |

It should be tied into the fuses controlling the stalk/fog/headlamps since its connected to the OE wiring.
