OKay so how do you make the interior lights come on and off with the dome? and then once you are in your car i also want the interior lights to come on with the headlights as well. How to do?

is the ground....um any wire on the blue harness? Does touching the chasis count as ground?

well if you want to do that automatically you would need a 5 pin relay as i have detailed in this thread it also explains how to tap the dome power... try searching a little.... DIY: Auto/On/Off Interior Lighting

that would be the more technical way to connect it but it would be automatically switched from fading ground to constant ground so you wont have to flip a switch but that thread also details how to use a switch which would be the easier way but everytime you want them on you would need to flip a switch which to me is not acceptable

Just did this install this morning took 4 hours boy it was a pita Tried to tap them into the dome lights but the t taps i bought were too big, so i just rigged it to a switch pretty dissapointed with the outcome cause I wanted them on with the dome light perhaps i'll try it agian later. but using the cathodes awas a great idea! light is even ly spread and overall i'm very happy just the dome /switch part is what irks me... :) great diy thanks!

is it really safe?
my friend warn me that if i broke the cathode by accident
and the two pieces of light inside the tube get contact and cause electric shock, which might lead to burn fuse and might lead to the whole ecu of the car.

is this too much, just wondering, i wanna get red led festoons for my map and dome lights, and then do led strips under my seats and for foot pedals and the passengers feet too, too much red?
