Xenon Plasma white 8000k HID

I was looking for an Cold air intake on ebay and I came across this page

AEM Cold Air intake System Honda CIVIC SI 2007-2008:eBay Motors (item 120428949228 end time Jul-01-09 14:12:46 PDT)

It comes with free Xenon Plasma white 8000k HID bulbs, exactly what I wanted! But I was wondering if all I need is the bulbs, or if I need something else to have them on my car.

Also what do you guys think about that intake?

To have HIDs you need to have ballasts as well as the bulbs. You would be better off just getting a kit. Mine are 6000k and i got them from these guys.

HID Conversion Kit 4300-30000K [Standard]

and here is a pic of what they look like. (they appear bluer in pictures)

You need the bulbs for your low beams... so that's bulb size 9006!

I bought from them, the shipping was fast and i just used my credit card. The lights have been fine for the past 2 months. Its plug-and-play. The link i gave you is the bulb size you need for the low beams, '9006'. 8000k is going to have a very blueish tint. I like mine because they are just a hint of blue and give it an almost factory look.

I found a site they sell them for $94.00 free shipping and they give you a2 year warranty . They have high , low and fog light bulbs 9005 high , 9006 low and H11 fogs. I'm going to put them up and try them out when i get them i'll let you know how they are.

Is it me or are these 9006 HID bulbs really hard to install.

It seems the the talerance is too tight, won't push all the way in so you can't turn and lock them in.

I'm going to change the o-rings,put in the factory ones maybe that'll help.
Probably put some grease on the base of the bulb.

At first i thought the bulb was too long but putting it side by side with a stock 9006 bulb the length is the same.

yeah, i had the same problems.

I ended up taking the headlights off, removing the o rings and putting the hids and then putting the o rings back in.

i do not have a problem with just installing HID kits, but without a ballast, HID lights seems to be super bright lights spraying everywhere. there are no cut offs like normal ballast installed HIDs.
