There are two blue wires in that harness...make sure you're using the light blue one. Also, I just did this in my car and it wouldn't work even though I was sure that it was wired properly. It started working after I replaced my #22 fuse with a 10A rather than the 7.5A that was in there (but it wasn't blowing so idk what the problem was.) Make sure you check the LED polarity, too. If you want to drive up to Syracuse I'll help lol

Cool. Thanks for the replies. Electrical mods are very tricky and I had some issues with my 96 sentra, and trying to do some things with the lighting and fog lights messed up my turning signal lights... and I dont want to loose my warranty messing with the electricals. Also, my little to no experience with interior lighting isn't helping. I am about to buy under carraigs LEDs for the side and for inside the grill. Maybe I'll wait to I get those before installing these. Hey, I may go up there to syracuse for the help. LOL

ON LEFT PRONG you will notice the wire goes no where, you need to attach this to something metal in your car (creating a ground)

Hope this helps
thank you for clarifying this, ive had the courtesy lights for some time now but i always wanted to be able to have a switch to keep them on at all times as well but didnt know how to wire that since it was the ground not a positive that controled the fade out

BTW got this done today, went with red accents in the cup holders and in front pocket and white in the foot wells to go with the LED dome lights.
The red lights are on a independent switch and can be turned on or off any time, the whites on a 3-way switch to be either on, off or dim out with the dome lights.

and yeah i know i need to vaccume out my floor boards.

both wires?

I have 09 LX coupe, i tapped the blue/grey and i put the ground to a hard ground (bolt), and it is not working, the leds are not lighting up at all.

i guess i have to tap into the pink/grey or else it wont work?

Hello all hope this topic isn't dead. I've been looking for a way to not mess with my cars original wiring. My lights will be in the map pocket and the door handle of both doors (coupe)

I removed my dome light last night to see if it would be possible to just wire my door lights to the dome light bulb holder directly. It seems to be simple enough to solder the leads (both ground and +) to the back side of where the bulb is held.

Advantages

-No t-taps or messy wiring at the fuse block
-No additional switches
-No additional fuses as the circuit is already fused
-The only interaction with the cars existing electrical is at an easily removed&replaceable part of the car.

Disadvantages

-Physically a lot more wire is needed both "+" and "-" from both doors to go all the way to the dome.
-The headliner might (probably) need to be removed for installation. This might be the deal breaker as I know from experience this can be a pain even without airbags.

My question is does anyone see a clear reason why this would be a bad idea? I really don't want to add more switches to my car or start splicing/tapping my nice tidy factory wiring. This is the only method that seems completely reversible (god forbid I might have to buy a dome like to go back 100% but I like the idea of the only things tapped into are removable pieces. )
