Installed HID's *PICS*

check out the freakin' glare on my HID's...oh yeah! i could be the king of glare... , ok yeah, i know, before you retro-fit people start telling me how retrofit is so much better than plug n play. YES I AGREE, i will be doing a retro fit and just waiting for my projectors to arrive. and YES I KNOW 9006 don't fit on the projectors. so chill, just enjoy the glare! btw, that's 4300K.

Well at least you're doing the right thing and getting projectors.

My brain hurts from just looking at the first picture. I'd hate to be driving against you.

that looks good, the cut off of your light is pretty bad... for some reason, mine is perfectly straight with no hot spot like yours on the left headlight.
i wonder why..? but sweet pics lol

anyone know if using the D2R bulbs that are 9006 rebased will help to reduce glare?? and anyone know where i can get these kits as well? The denso hid's with rebased 9006 D2R's is pretty pricey on ebay...looks like good quality stuff though.

If used in a reflector housing that's designed for HID, yes.

the left lamp was actually lose that's why it looked like that. i switched the bulbs today and somehow they look much better, much less glare, and straight cutoff. pointed more downwards.

That is definitely NOT 4300k. Thats more like 8000k (which has hella glare, and dangerous to both the driver and others - causing eye fatigue)

I'm running an 8000k PnP kit I pulled from my Intrepid. Took 5 minutes to pull, and 45 minutes to install into the stupidly designed Civic. I guess they never want you to change bulbs in this car huh?

I got flashed about once a month in the Intrepid, and about 3 or 4 times in the first 2 days of having them in the Civic. Since then though.........haven't been flashed in a month??? No clue why I got flashed the first 2 days but not after that........I didn't change anything?

I do find it really interesting that everything seems to *glow* with these headlights though. I mean they must be putting off a lot of UV light as well because the lines on the road glow very bright, as do busses, trucks, and signs. Cutoff isn't bad at all IMO.......I don't think there's much glare.

*Stares into his 8000k PnP low beams*

........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

you sure about that buddy? hehe. i can assure you and prove to you that those are 4300K's. i got the box and the actual bulbs itself that says they're 4300 K's.

but compare those to a 6000K or 8000K side by side, mine would look yellow and halogen like. trust me on that one.

i'm vouching for Pukuyo on this one. definitely 4300K because we had a night meet this past weekend and another member had 6000K PnP HIDs and Pukuyo's looked much yellower compared to the 6000K.

beside the 6000K, the 4300K HIDs look like halogens, just higher intensity.
