3rd Brake light LED Swap for Civic Sedan

I know you can swap the coupe 3rd brake light for the coupe EX one, but has anyone with a sedan swapped their 3rd brake light for the hybrid LED one? And if so, what parts are needed? I read that it was going to be a DIY from collegehillshonda.com but they haven't produced it so far. Thanks!

I have a 2006 Lx coupe and swapped the brake lights out. you will have to buy the whole rear deck, which costs about 40-50$ and it comes with the light.

go to collegehillshonda.com and watch the DIY videos, call them if you can't find it. The have a video of the removal and install.you have to call them, if it is mot there., they will test it out for you and post a video. Thats what I did.

Why are they charging $95 "LED 3rd Brake Light Upgrade" when the rear deck costs less than $40, which includes the lights?

Probably, but the Si doesn't have rear brake light in the deck.

I think it comes with it for the coupe, just not sure about sedan. Believe it or not, but even the local deal was confused about sedan SI vs LX rear deck fitment. Was hoping some one on the 8th would know.

LX Coupe: Standard bulb
EX Coupe: LED bulbs
Si Coupe: LED on wing only

LX Sedan: Standard bulb
EX Sedan: Standard bulb
Hybrid Sedan: LED bulbs
Si Sedan: LED on wing only

It wouldn't make any sense for Honda to make different sized rear decks for each car, as that would raise the cost on those items significantly for them to create. You would think that, but I guess the rear deck for the LX and EX coupes are different because of the 3rd LED tail light.

What I need is a strong yes or no, that this will work, and what parts to get for the sedan EX/hybrid LED conversion. I've got beige (ivory) trim, so keep that in mind. Thanks!
