i mounted 3000k HID lights on my fogs about 2 months ago. I installed my OEM fog lights and the combination is great! Their 10x better than a stock bulb. I dont have any glare or anything, nor do they interfer with my 6000k HID headlights!

3000k HID PnP kit in stock halogen fogs

Same 3000k HID PnP Kit in Retro'd Foglight

Hope that helps your decision

EDIT: I also have pictures with just 2500k BULBS in halogen fogs as well if you are interested in going a different route besides a PnP kit. Bulbs are the cheapest way to get the look without modification. I've gone thru quite a lot of different fog set ups. More than most people are willing to deal with

so a 3400K hid kit for my fogs with an already yellow housing would just blind people correct?, and also, if the housing is already yellow couldn't i just go with something like a 4300 or 5000k kit?? i've already got a 6k in the lows, but now my puny halogen fogs with hyperyellow bulbs just aren't up to snuff

I think you'll be alright if you get those temps with yellow lenses. But once you get closer to the blue colors then the output will look green

that's what i was worried about, but it seemed logical to think that with a 4300 or so kit that the yellow lenses would be fine where as with a 3400 the output would diminish, but correct me if i'm wrong here?

Damn ferret looks like you and I are both on the hunt for someone to do some retro fogs. I have everything to do I just need someone capable of doing the retro for me.

nomar06 can do the retro for you :)

and u are looking at about 70 for fogs 30-60 for projectors depending on which kind, 80 for a ebay pnp hid kit and 50-75 if u get someone to retro it for you

which projectors are most commonly used to retro fogs?? i'm coming across a set of stock headlights and the parts to do a retro on those, and if i can piece it together i'll do a fog retro while i'm at it, the fogs seem MUCH less complicated tho so i might scrap the headlights for now and shoot for the fogs

Fog retros are easier as they require less parts. People have used "Blazer" projectors or lexus fog projectors for their retros
