White High beams/DRL

I'm looking to get some regular bulbs for my highbeams/drl's that will somewhat match my 4300k HID lowbeams...

I'm not sure what bulb I need to buy.. I saw someone elses post that I guess is looking for the same thing I am, and I was also thinking maybe I need silverstars... Has anyone done this to their DRL/highbeams that can tell me what bulbs I should get.. and does it even look good to have white drls?

Currently, I have "super white" fog light bulbs that came in my fog lights that match my 4300k HIDs perfectly... they look like regular bulbs but with a blue tint.... any input is appreciated

4300k is like yellow right>???

all i know is that you cant change the drl color.

becasue the car is only letting a low amount of power into the bulb and that wont be enough to change the bulbs color

i think that is what your asking right? the lights that are on when you start up the car

4300k is supposed to be the "pure white" or as white as you can get before it starts getting blue...

as for the DRL color, I understand that it's not gonna look bright white when the DRL's are on cause of the low power going to the light but at least it shouldnt look orange/bronze like it does with the stock bulbs, and when my highbeams are on, those should look white...

so basically, im looking for a recommendation of what bulb i should get. if anyone has pics of someone whos done this that would be great too, and what bulbs they used.

you cant put hid's in for high beams considering that you mostly flash your high beams and turn them on and off and hid's arent meant to be flashed or they will burn out. thats why i need a regular halogen bulb with the color temp that matches a 4300k hid bulb, or something similiar... maybe even whiter

Hows 4300 HIDs cause Im planning to get them soon for my low beams and do they light up the road much better than regular hallogens?
About the high beams I read somewhere that silverstars will do it but don't remember where! Can some one confirm this?

the siverstar ultra still appear yellow when DRL's are on, but are not bad normal (i took the DRL fuse out b/c i dont like the yellow look). the closest to HID bulbs w/out going full HID would be to use HIR bulbs.

hir bulbs are pretty pricey tho arent they? im looking for a quick cheap bulb swap that will give me something as close to as i can get to matching my 4300k's.. i was thinking about the silverstars but i know some ppl said there are 2 diff types, thhe american sylvannia, and then like the OSRAM ones that are better or something... anyone have more info?

as for the 4300k's. they are A LOT brighter then the stock bulbs... they light up the road A LOT MORE... my gf has an ex sedan with stock headlights and when i drive her car after driving mine for a while i really notice the difference....

and as far as i know, 4300k's will give you the most light output of all temps because the bluer you go, the more light output you lose..

there are 2 diff types of silverstars,
silverstar
and
silverstar ultra
sylvannia and osram are the same company

the silverstar ultra are the almost SAME price as HIR's....
a set of silverstar ultra's = ~$50/pair
HIR (single) = ~$27/each

plus any non HID bulb is going to appear yellow/orange when in DRL mode, just pull the DRL fuse and turn them off if you dont like it, it wont mess up anything else if you do this, I think the DRL fuse is #37 on the inside fuse pannel, but check you manual to make sure.

then i will say go with the silverstar ultra's b/c they last much longer then the normal silverstars and alot of the other aftermarket "hyper white" type of bulbs.

they are fairly white, not as bright white as the HIR's but not bad either.
