it really depends on everything you get...you can go the cheaper route with tsx projectors or the more expensive and get s2000 projectors. I'd say the range is around 650-1100 for parts and labor.

not to be argumentative, but 500 won't get you a retro. it may get you one if one of the members on this here board decide to sell theirs, but they most likely want to do a local swap out for their headlights and aren't willing to ship. you may be LUCKY and find a seller in your area that has the retro for sale. but that is luck for you. especially with the price of ballasts, and bulbs. pnp ballast + bulbs + adapter = 200 for a decent pair of bulbs and ballasts. so you are basically saying that he'll find a retroed set of headlights for 300 bucks.

good luck

maybe he just meant parts pricing, and he's going to do the work himself.

I'd say roughly $500 for parts, depending on what parts you're actually buying, so I'd wager this is TSX + simple shroud + OEM ballasts, etc.

Labor will cost more, starting at $330.

I went through Customlightz, and it cost me roughly $900 for TSX Projectors + Color Mod 1 + Ballasts + Bulbs (which were cheap, and not recommended, apparently) + New Headlights.

Damn, that's pricey.

I'm just going to do my own since I've already done a retrofit before.

If you do it yourself I'd say the parts will cost you around 400 give or take. My tsx retro is costing me, just for the parts, about 420. I have gen III ballasts, phillips d2s+ bulbs, tsx projectors, wire harness, and shroud.

If you do a retrofit yourself once, you realize that it's not so hard. Not to bash any of the guys who do retrofits for a job, but for me it's just a little too expensive.

Just search around for diys' and do a little research and, in my opinion, save yourself the extra 500 dollars for whatever else. Maybe buy grand theft auto 4 because I heard that it was damn good.

Labor's always expensive. Some people just don't have the time. I didn't. Though I really want to do my own retro too...

Wait what exactly do you mean by this? I was looking into doing almost this exact same setup.

Oh, I bought some cheaper bulbs from HIDPlanet's product site. Didn't last as long as I thought it would. I'd get some quality bulbs instead. They were good for a while, but one bulb was colorshifted fairly badly. I'd have spent money on better bulbs, looking back.
