HID Kit Purchase Recommendation

cdubb77 has his mounted far away from the front. I really like where they are.

There's a good area near the top of the fender liner you have to pull back when installing your HIDs. The space is perfectly sized to fit a ballast and not have it rub up against anything. I just used some industrial strength double sided tape and it's worked fine for me so far.

Now of course it wouldn't look so good if you crashed the front end of your car, though I dont think you'd be that much better off if they were simply placed under the headlight.

Good heat sink for what? It's the bulb that heats up.

What do you mean better off?

They don't need heat sinks unless you've boosted them.

thanks, xenin. i mounted my ballasts in the same place you did...it was like a perfect fit and i just used some double sided tape to secure it. was it just for me, or were your headlights ridiculously hard to get out too...the fitment is like too perfect it kept getting stuck. but i finally got em out and back in

no problem.

for the headlights, its easier to take out the black metal bracket underneath it first and then unbolt the two bolts on the top of the headlight to get them out. the bracket gets in the way with the bumper support so its really hard to get them out with the brackets on.

I want to hide all of my ballasts but be able to reach them without ever having to remove the bumper again once the bulbs are all in (fogs/lb). I will be posting once I get crackin' on it this sunday.
