? about 3000k hid bulbs..

I was thinking about changing my 6000K hid bulbs in my low-beams to 3000K yellow bulbs. Will I run into law enforcement issues, I have yet to with my 6000K's. any feedback will be much appreciated

Yes you will. If you doubt it, don't do it. Warning: Yellow gives out the lowest light output!

You will run into problems with your lights being yellow. You could however, run a 3000K hid kit as your day time running lights and your 6000K as your night lights.

Check your local law about lights, but im pretty sure the allowed colors are the regular white from a bulb, amber, and yellow that can go on a vehicle. Anything else would give you a problem.

There are some lexus that come w/ yellow lights stock (some of the older ones) so you wont have a problem w/ them.

^ no cars have ever come with yellow low beams. yellow fog lights though.
no...he cannot run a HID kit for daytime running lights. the ballasts will not work correctly due to teh low current that the DRLs are provided with.

the laws for lighting are rather strict. any changes ot teh lighting of a car are illegal, but most places overlook things such as blue HId kits. if you get somthgn that stands out like yellow headlights, your asking for trouble.

It will definitely attract more attention but it would look great (in my opinion).

3000K hids = dumb. That's more yellow and less light output than your stock halogens (about 3200-3500K)

3k on your low beam is just stupid. The first night you drive with it you will be pulled over and/or notice that you can't see shit.

^^dude as i said i've had 3000k low beams...i could see so much better with 3000k but the problem is you blind people horribly

besides, doesnt anyone realize that 12000k which is purple is really hard to see with at night? its basically a UV light...so use that as an example..higher kelvin doesnt mean better visibility

4000= white light which gives you the most light output and best contrast. Any thing less than 4000K starts going yellow then orange giving you less light. Anything more gives you aqua blue then purple also giving you less light.

Our 3000k bulbs are rated at the same lumens as our 4300k bulbs.

But you still get less contrast and therefor reduced visibility, no?
