daytime running lights help!!!

i've seen this tread before but can't find it anymore... i would think it would look better if i didn't have my daytime running lights on.. does anyone know what fuse it is and is it safe to do? has anyone done it and what do you guys think about it? any help?

I think fuse 36 or 37. To be sure, just check your manual dude.

have you done it? just interested to see if it will look better when driving...i kinda think it looks ugly with those dim ass running lights on all the time...

Not sure about other parts of N. America, but in some areas you get ticketed if you disable your DRLs.

very true.. but i've heard about people puilling the fuse and shutting them off.. i think when jrmartinez came down for are meet last week he had them off.. i know it's a safty feature..

They are also your high beams and those sometimes come in handy. I personally like DRL.

didn't even think about that... ok i guess i won't pull the fuse.. was just a thought but i guess you guys are right...

fuse #37 are for DRL
your highbeams will still work without that fuse
wont hurt your electrical

I like the 8th gen DRLs, they're unique, I can see one coming from a couple miles away, I have mine disabled though due to my HID high beams. It's all personal preferance though, just pop out the fuse if you don't like them, your high beams will still work.

i'm gonna try this too, in so cal i rarely see cars with drls, and the majority of people that i know turn of the drls when they get the cars. besides its an SI who's going to have trouble seeing them, they're awesome cars!

Nah, down in Texas you wont get a ticket. My '06 Tacoma has a DRL option from the dealer and i didnt like it so i didnt get it installed. If anyone asks why you dont have them just tell them you didnt want that feature. Although i doubt anyone would ask you anyway.....

Yes that is true but it also doesnt help with all the idiots on the road today. Regardless if you have them if someone isnt paying attention they're going to hit you regardless.......just my opinion.

IMHO i think they looks bad ass and i love them.. plus its proven to reduce accidents.
