Help me decide on bulb temp for the HIDs I'm getting for my fogs.
I'm getting HID's for my fogs. Should I get yellow 3000k bulbs or get 4300k to match my headlights?? I'm having a hard time deciding. Here's a pic of my car. Please tell me why you've made your selection. Thanks!

3000K Fogs FTW, functional AND stylish. They do produce a decent amount of glare but if your going PnP HID either way than that shouldn't matter. I got 3000K cause I saw a pic of someone on here with it. Looks boring to me to just have your fogs match your headlights but thats just me.

5000k ftw but that's my opinion. I had yellow fogs and didn't care for them, switched my low beams from 6000k to 5000k and absolutely love them, perfectly white light projected onto the road, I'm going to switch my fogs and high beams to 5000k for a clean, non-rice look. Again, just my opinion.

I think it depends...
If you plan to use your fog lamps as auxiliary lighting in rain, fog or snow then get bulbs that are 3000K or so. The yellowish color will allow you to have the best visibility in inclement weather. After all they are called "fog" lights for a reason.
But, if you plan to ride around with them on just so you can "look" like a (stylish) dumb-ass, then by all means get a white, blue or purple color. One other comment, the only thing dumber than driving around with your fog lights on for no real reason, is to stick a HID system in a Fog light reflector. 99% of the fog lamp reflectors out there do not have an adequate reflector design for focusing the light, nor to they have shroud to cut unfocused forward glare. Most people don't want to put money into performance mods for a variety of reasons and go mainly for looks. I think fog lights are a great addition to any car, especially over a riced out body kit & wing. But hey, I guess they are the stylish dumb-asses aren't they? |

if i were you i'd just get halogen 3k bulbs for the fogs. that's what i run and it's more than bright enough. plus i have OEM fogs so they turn on whenever the headlight is on. less glare for oncoming traffic...for now |

4300k is a much cleaner look in my opinion. I find that the perfect look is when your fog lights match your headlight color, otherwise, i think it makes the car look cheaper. I know a lot of people prefer the yellow styling, but i'm just not feeling it.
