I have 6000k HID's. I plan on getting oem fogs with 6000k bulbs to match headlights.

1. will the bulb for the fog be too strong and burn out the wire of the oem wiring?
my first impression also was that he planned to use 6000K halogens to match his HIDs

If you are, then your harness will be fine if you use 55 watt bulbs. If you plan to use 100 watt bulbs then just use a relay to pull power directly from the battery.

Dunno but I was in my friend's civic and he got pulled over for having them on. He's got yellow HID fogs too. Maybe the cop was just being a lil biznatch?

Wow, the poll is split 16/16. I voted for 3000k because my experience with HIDs is that it's hard to see when it rains so you need something to balance the two out. I had an old e46 oem retro setup and yellow fogs with my old ek. I see better with halogens with my current fg2 in the rain, even though I'm in the process of doing a tsx oem retro setup. In my opinion yellow fogs are better than higher kelvin lighting for rainy/foggy conditions. I'll be using yellow fogs when its all said and done.

You could always go for a 55 watt HID kit for your fogs, only use them when there's no other cars around (only time you actually need extra lighting) -- the glare off a wet road from these are unbelievable, lights up the trees on the side of the road like your friggin high beams are on :P But these are seriously amazing for bad weather driving.
