hey you guys, i'm new to this forum and new to who hid's thing! what is retrofit? please don't laugh! is it the housing? or just the clear glass thing?or is it a setup?i wanna do this for my car too!

well stock headlights are reflectors for one.

a "retrofit" is retrofitting projectors into the stock headlights which substitutes for the reflectors.

the clear glass is dependant on the projectors, some of them are bezelled or frosted or clear like mine.

if you want to get a retrofit done you can contact Welcome to LightWerkz.net or Home - CustomLightz - The HID Retrofit Specialist which also has a possible group buy coming up.

I think that all cars should come stock with projectors, not only do they look better but allow the light housing to be smaller while projecting more light onto the road.

that would be more costly to the manufacturer and customer. its odd though, some cheaper cars have halogen projectors yet more expensive cars dont.

the more expensive cars have HID's that the cheaper cars don't though whats adding 300$ more to the tag of a new car besides the more they are used and made the cheaper they will get
