License Plate LED failure?

Curious if other have had consistent LED failure over the rear license plate? I have ordered several different kinds of LED to include products from Superbright and VLEDS, and all work great for a while but then fail (i.e. totally burn out, or start blinking, etc.) Should I use a sidemarker LED resistor? It seems like the OEM bulbs last a lot longer. Am I doing something wrong, or is that bulb life pretty typical?

Bump for an answer.

I've had one start blinking on me so I ordered another from superbrightleds. I think it started blinking about 3 months after I got it in there. Even if they do go out every 3 or four months, I think it's worth the cost. It looks SO much better than the stock bulbs I see in other civics.

Im curious how do you know its flickering in the back. Not trying to be a smart ass or nothing. Ive had mine for 8-9 months and no problems, then again I dont look at the other then when I hit the lock/unlock button and they blink along with the tail lamps. Id be curious to know maybe there was a bad batch?

I can leave the lights on and get out of the car and see it strobing. Either that or a couple of the LEDs on the bulb don't work. And I don't think it's a bad batch it seems to be rather consistent with whomever I buy from.

I only notice when I'm walking up to my car and hit the unlock button.
