HID/ In dash lights

Ok i have a quick question. Today i install my new HID kit, everything works great. The only thing that i notcie is when i go to turn on the lights, the lights on my dash(rpm,speed) the lights get darker/dim. Has this happen to anyone else, if so is this something i need to worry about. Any ideas?

Your dash lights are supposed to dim when you turn on the head lights. So they are not as bright at night. Are you saying they are dimming more then they should?

To test this turn on your head lights and increase the brightness of the dash using the controls to the left of the steering wheel. If you increase the dash lights all the way to maximum while the head lights are on. It will put the dash lights in a "parade mode" where they are full brightness even with the lights on. now turn the head lights on and off. The dash shouldnt dim at all. If after this it still dims I would say its a problem

jlannoo the lightsgot brighter inside,i guess i never notice the lights got dim. thanks.

No problem simple things get overlooked sometimes. I use the parade mode whenever its rainy and you want the head and tail lights on for safety. Yet its daytime and you don't want the dash dimmed.
