The next step is to decide on shrouds

Then what color to have the housing - OEM Chrome or black?

Opinions?

I've got an ASM EX Sedan if that affects opinions.

I think chrome looks more oem, but black looks cleaner yet still oem. S2K shrouds look great.. mdx are a great choice too.

Yeah I like flat black, but I thought a bunch of people were going for the OEM chrome look lately, but good to know.

go black if you want it to stand out. go chrome if you want the sleeper/subtle look. i should have my headlights by this week, i checked the tracking and they're in Canada now. hopefully i'll have them on by the end of the weekend.

chrome FTW
makes it look OEMish and when people
realize you have a retro it'll be even more
satisfying imo

Go black! It just looks much cleaner. I would hate to see stock reflector shining after spending so much time, effort and money for the retro. Try to get a bigger shroud, like the MDX's, to hide as much of the reflector in the dark.

I'd say go chrome. Xenin's E46 shrouds are a perfect example of my recommendation! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

My one problem with the chrome housing is exactly what joonoo said, the reflectors will bounce around that light because the inside wall sticks forward a bit. It does look AWESOME when it's daytime though.

Then again, I fell in love with Tim's, which are uber.

Izzy, I never had a problem with glare. Not even a little bit.

I say OEM/Chrome, but that's just because it looks beauteous to me. I've never seen a chrome sedan headlight retrofit.

I didn't mean out right glare, but I meant it bouncing around inside. You're right though, your night shots are a good judge as they have no chrome pieces lighting up too much.

You're right though. I don't recall seeing any FA's with chrome housing. Can I officially change my mind and say, "Be different"?
