They look great. I remember you mentioning that you had a mod in the coming weeks. I wasn't guessing a retro as J-Ro has one as well. How much did the mod run you?

yeah this was the mod that i mentioned. J-Ro is the only other person in Canada East that i know of that has a retro. the price, well i could have bought new rims and tires or an intake and exhaust and headers for the price, lol.

Caesar just sent out the headlights to USPS this morning so in 6-10 i'll be getting them.

thanks. you're the reason i actually got it done from lightwerkz. i had seen the E46 shrouds and thought it looked awesome and wanted the same look, except with a more OEM look.

As stated, a simple and OEM looking retrofit.

For some reason there are people who think that we can only place MDX and S2000 shrouds on our retrofits. We have used other shroudson these cars as well, but nothing seems to be as popular as the MDX

E46 used to be the most commonly used shroud back in the day, when the price was cheaper, and people wanted a quick and simple way to cover up the projectors. They still look clean, and we would certiantly do it for customers asking us to do it. After all, the E46 is probably the easiest OEM shroud to use since shroud extension is not required, but usually trimming if even that.

nice and clean retro, just simply letting people know that we can also place the E46 shrouds in front of a projector.

TFX is not worth the 350 bucks advertised just for your info.
fx projectors = 60
Tsx lenses = 60
Overall, 120 on a TFX setup that's costing you AlOT MORE and it is not even as powerful as a stock TL. Swap lenses on the TL and that's a whole different story. you will get a sharper cutoff than the tfx.
BTW, TLs = 140, 3" clear lenses = 90. Total price for a bixenon projector that will outperform then TFX by MILES = $230.

i'll get you non-photoshopped pictures though
just need some TL's
Got to love the forum member that will always go out of his way to bash one company and give props to another more known company on this site.

LightWerkz charged me $300 for the TFX setup. I was told the lens swap alone required lots of trial and error to get the correct cutoff, hence the extra costs that are included in the $300.

fx35 projectors & TSX projectors need to be bought for this swap. You know your being unrealistic when you say TSX projectors can be had for $60, you know they cost $175ish, even more now a days....

$300 seems more then fair if you ask me...its cheaper then the s2000 and can perform on the same level.

Hmm, lets see, is TL even possible? No, probably not. Those projectors are huge, without serious modifications to the housing I doubt those can work in our narrow, oddly shaped civic lights.

Oh and shrouds.....which shrouds are going to fit the TL? Not the MDX or the E46...would need to be custom more likely then not.

Lay off the haterade bud...seriously its getting really old.

The best projectors that are going to be able to fit in these housings are probably the s2000, which the OP got and im quite jealous. I did want bixenon so this way the way to go for my setup....

Both of you are right here. Let's not make it bigger than it really is.

eSeYe are referring to the TFX setup, while striker is talking about the $60-ish TSX lens replica, which works as good as TSX for the blue/purple setup. BTW this "other" lens is not useful for those who want rainbow with their FX35 setup.

So while one is talking about the cost of the actual TSX projector lens, the other is talking about the TSX replica lens. So both are equally correct here.

Second, we have retrofitted the TL's to the 8th gen civics, and we used MDX shrouds, and E46 bixenon shrouds would easily work.

Hope this answers some of the questions.
Bjorn

Here's a video during night time:

The retrofit looks exactly like the other quad setup:

Looks awesome!

I'm trying to become I guess the 3rd person in Can East then haha. But I still can't decide between blacked out housing or OEM look. I can't wait to see yours on the ASM.
