How did you mount your underbody glow?

I bought some UB lights for my Si and didn't think to take a good look underneath for mounting options. I just assumed there would be endless possibilities. WRONG! The front and rear are easy, lots of plastic to cable tie thru. The sides however have pretty much nothing but metal. I don't want to go drilling into it and end up with glowing rust in a year. The best I can come up with is using the mudguard mounts somehow, but that doesn't offer any support in the middle. I might just need to reinforce it. Either way, I'm looking to find out how other members handled this.

I know not everyone likes UB glow, but this isn't the thread to express your dislike for it.

EDIT: These won't be on every time the sun sets, I decide when they are on and I'll keep it to private property, etc.

I had it for like a month and uninstalled it. Be ready to get pulled over non-stop for having them on since they're off road use only (show car) in all 50 states.

most people who have under lighting have switches wired inside so you can turn them off quickly. I know someone who has them on his celica and he hasn't gotten pulled over for them. You just have to know when and where it's ok and be able to have a good eye out for cops. It's riced out when its a cheap hack job.

That's good to hear, thanks matey! I found a good way to hide the back tubes, just stuff something under the back bumper to lower it (make sure it's wide so it doesn't look like a bulge, keep it subtle). I probably should have mentioned that these will tie into my head/tail light LEDs which ONLY come on with the interior driver's side map light. And with my additional override switch a cop will only see these if I'm drunk, in which case PULL ME OVER!

Thx ameuba10, you have them done and well by the look of your pix. I just wanted to see if others had another way of doing them . Now get both ends off the toilet and get some pics (j/k)
