the wire is usually on the bottom when positioned correctly in the bulb holder

Maybe supposed to be but there is only one way for them to fit unless you remove the headlight and unscrew the mounts.
I've got one on the bottom and one on the side, and yes it does make a difference in how it reflects.
Park yourself infront of a wall and turn the bulb support. Watch your fingers. No bulb touchy.

Thanks guys, yah it was hard to get them fit, i had to take the o-rings from the halogens and transfer them to the hids, then i had to use some silicon. Man is it hard to get the passenger side done. The only way mine went in fully was with them pointing down. I cant believe how much of a challenge this was, lol. we need bigger engine bays.

mine went into the headlight with no problem, now switching of orings or anything, but from what everyone says all the other threads, the bar goes down, and yes its possible, mine is

the little tube on the bulb should always be pointing down.
