07 G35 Projectors - Opinions//Advices Needed

Having the urge to get retro fits for my 07 civic ex coupe, my friend is selling his G35 projectors. Of which, i'm not really sure if i should get it or not, so opinions about these?

as far as i know they are pretty similar to FX35 projectors and arent bad. Striker_1818 and sponsor -Bionic- know a lot more about HIDs and projectors than I do and will probably chime in here when they see the thread. I would also suggest checking out HIDPlanet.com for more info about the projectors.

stock G35 has more intensity than the stock fx35. But fx35 has more width overall. Swap some tsx/e30 lenses and you're good to go.

I don't think swapping the lens is the hard part, I think actually finding a pair of TSX lenses without having to buy the entire set of projectors is the harder part. You can always wrap the TSX lens up in tissue paper and mail it with a set of G35 projectors and have Bjorn (aka -Bionic-) do the swap for you. Good luck though. Try HIDPlanet.com or eBay.com for deals on TSX lenses/projectors. I had much success with my FX Projector/TSX Lens setup.

ebay will be your best friend. Getting the lenses holder is the hardest thing. It is a pain in the ass to do it without ruining the lenses holder

"Pricey" TSX lens? Well, the stock FX/G projectors are fine by themselves. In stock form they offer pretty good cutoff, are bi-xenon, and fit fine in the 8thcivic housing. On the other hand, you can choose to find a pair of TSX lens and swap them in. I believe doing this will produce a sharper cutoff and more blue/purple color at the cutoff as well. In my opinion, TSX are the best bang for the buck, but if you want to go bi-xenon, then a FX projector with a TSX lens swapped in works pretty well. TSX projectors/lens aren't as expensive as say, a S2000 projector, which is double the price, but the S2000 projectors offer a sharper cutoff and more width.

A clear lense swap will yield a whole lot more output than the fresnel/foggy lense that they come with stock. Aside from that, you will get a sharper cutoff with more blue.
In other words, with a clear lense swap, you get more output and a sharper cutoff.

I ran into the same problem with the fx until i knew that by cutting the top part of the projector, output is not molested. So, after cutting the top notch, it fits good.
G35 projectors are different.
These are what these look like. g35 on the far right and right behind it is an fx35. Sorry for not having a better picture but i got rid of those projectors a long time ago.

If they are bi-xenon, that means that the projectors affect high and low beam, is that right? If so, what happens to the bulb in the stock headlamps that are DRL/High beams if the bi-xenon projector now performs the duties of both low and high beams?

Thank you for any enlightenment!
