It's weird. They look more blue in the first pic but the second pic is how they really look.

Here are some more pics of mine.

any one know where to get hid kit/ballast with bulbs less than 150? are the eBay ones good?? or will they deteriorate over time? some offer 1 year warranty but im not sure if they are actually good or rip offs. also there is this replica for the hella gen3 ballasts, only difference is that it takes a litlle longer to brighten up than the OEMs...

can anyone direct me to a better kit for around 150 or so???thanks appreciate it

ebay kits are usually fine for most people. They're much cheaper.

retro-solutions has lifetime warranties on their bulbs and ballasts here's a 35 watt kit with full digital ballasts for $140 shipped:

eBay Motors: HID xenon DIGITAL HID kit REAL LIFETIME WARRANTY! (item 170253490407 end time Aug-27-08 19:13:59 PDT)

I have their 30-50 watt adjustables for my low beams and their 55 watt kit for my high beams. I've had them for about 100,000 miles now (half of which is night driving) and absolutely love them, I've had no problems at all even with constantly turning the brights on and off due to oncoming traffic.

Here's a kit off ebay, it's about $60 shipped:

eBay Motors: 06 07 HONDA CIVIC DX LX EX 4D 4DR SEDAN OEM FOG LIGHTS (item 360080608640 end time Aug-21-08 10:53:22 PDT)

I purchased a kit off ebay and installed it myself, it fits in the factory location with factory mounting.

The low and high beams are both 5,000 K in color, they have a slight blue/violet tint when you look at the housings at an angle, dead-on and projected light on the road are pure white (not the yellowish white from factory HIDs but pure cold cathode looking white light). When the high beams are cold they take a while to warm up (20-30 secs) but they look really cool when they do - starts with a redish-orange flash then slowly lights up everything in front of you starting with a slight blue tint then fading to a pure white, it really freaks people out on the highway when you pass them then flip on the brights, lol. The adjustable low beams are real nice too, they have 5 levels from 30 -50 watts. I usually drive on level one (30 watts) and up it to level 2 (35 watts) with the brights on when I'm on a wide or straight road and then level 5 (50 watts) when I have my brights on on a curvey or narrow back road with a close tree line. The bulbs have a 100 hour break-in period, the bulb color started out as a slight yellowish white (almost halogen looking) but now they're a pure white (the high beams took a bit longer to break in - they're not used as much - so the low and high beams didn't match for a while, but they're looking better now).

I'll get some pics as soon as I get ahold of my fiance's camera.

hey delta. that guy is based out of connecticut, not far from me
what ive found out is he engineers them and contracts with 4 companies to have the various pieces put together. They are pretty much built all over the world. im gonna go over his house to see how they look, i might buy a set, he even has a set that puts out stock halogen color!!! im thinking the adjustable would be pretty cool to have, its a nice idea, but i always thought that the bulb would be damaged if it didnt get the 50 Watts its intended to get ,so im gonna get behind the science of this little doodad!!!

sounds good. that's the main thing that attracted me to this seller, he's located in the good ole USA. It makes warranty exchanges so much easier, I've had multiple ballasts get "lost in the mail" while being shipped over to sellers in China for warranty exchange. The full digital ballasts also enticed me though then they came out with the adjustable ballasts and I haven't had any issues with their products yet. So I'm pretty much sticking with this guy. A review of what you see in person at his place would be appreciated.

yea dude ill let u know as soon as i can get down there (there is no store front lol)
the no store front makes me question, but technically hes not installing these kits so there should be no issue to having a store front and making even more money. He claims he doesnt want the attention as they are illegal for road use lol
which would make sense lol.
ill get back to u as soon as i see them. Ill try to get some vids too. How long have you owned yours???
