PIAA's or Silverstars?
1st off I dont have the money for HID's and wont any time soon and I really hate the yellow look on stock lights so please help me decide. I currently have Silvertars ULTRA but they still seem to have a small amount of yellow. I was thinking about switching to PIAA's but I need advice. I know both lights burn out faster but I really dont care. Can anyone help? Is there better bulbs out there with no yellow tint? Much appriciated.

Piaa would be the best bulb to buy. About the bulbs burn out faster, I been using piaa for many years........never have burn out bulb less than five years old. Never touch the bulbs with your finger. You can get a paper towel wrap around the bulb before you handle it.

just my $.02...i had silverstars a while ago and they lasted about 2 months...never used PIAA but i believe they come with a 1 year warranty. honestly, you should look into HIDs, if you look on ebay for as a seller, you can find HIDs w/a 3 year warranty and they're only about $130 including shipping. they've lasted me about 2 months now and no problems and i've heard of many people using these same lights with no problems...

Blind some people and get ebay HID's. You can get a pnp kit cheaper than a set of piaa bulbs.
Not all kits are blinding like people say you just have to find a good kit that other people are using. |

I bought the PIAA 9005 and 9006 in xtreme white pluse 4300k, but it doesnt fit at all. Swapping the O rings didnt work at all. I notice a slight difference in the tripod part.
If anyone could help me get these to fit It'd be great! OR: If anyone wants them they can have em for $35 (1 pair) shipped. They are opened but not used. I bought them brand new. |

PIIA bulbs DO NOT increase light output. They are coated bulbs that will have less light output than your stockie ones but they will surely give you that "bling" light you want.
Performance of any $5 ebay bulb is the same as PIIA's |

I have the PHILIPS Xtreme Power H7 +80% from suvlights.com and they are bright but the Osram Hyper H7 65W (10W higher) was much brighter.
tried the Osram Silverstar +50% before and I think the numbers are just hype like the PIAA 55W=85W BS plus they didn't last that long guy at suvlights said there is no substitute for higher wattage, and I have to agree they also showed me a trick to swap the 9005 high beam bulbs for 9006 low beams on my Camry just my opinion |

Osram sylvania and phillips are the same company... just fyi...
I just spent 150 SDN shipped on my hid's, i got the pilot type... lol i called phillips customer help and they told me that they dont make hid systems for sale to the public just to other companies, and i got a partnumber. but it was no good to me(im a phillips dealer) so i searched the all mighty google. it came up with a cross to the pilot system, so its made by phillips with phillps bulbs... for $150 |
