use a flat tip screwdriver. if you look at the covers there are little flat holes in whihc you can put a tip in and then jst pry them out. really easy

Theres no notches...just pry it starting from the "front of the car" side of the light. Use a VERY thin tipped screwdriver to reduce scratches.

A thin flathead should do the job. Thats what I used and I had no problems and no scrathes anywhere.

In my opinion, don't use a screw driver. You might end up scratching things. I personally would recommend a credit card or at worst, a very thin knife, possibly even a butter knife.

I guess if you want to be safe go with the butter knife.

you can wrap whatever you are using with any kind of tape and that will allow hardly any scratching... simple and easy.
