police & HID's

I want to do a little survey, how many of you have been pulled over for having HID's that are to blue, or too bright, or even just having HID's at all? If you have been pulled over what state?

Ive had my HID's for over a year and a half!! no problems...except this one time, a cop races up next to me,asking me if my highbeams were on. I said no its a brandnew car they come like this... he just sped up running a redlight almost causing an accident!!! but he killed my high sooo bad!! that was a year ago..

I have 6K Alpha HID's, and live in MS.
i have never once gotten messed w/.

once, I pulled into a gas station, and a cop was sitting in the parking lot w/ his radar gun tryin to catch people on the highway. When i was pulling in, my lights lit up his whole car. So then i park at the pump, he then circles his car around me twice, and then he leaves the gas station, getting back onto the highway. when I left the gas station, he was 1/4 mile down the road w/ the radar gun again. So I know he had every intention of writing tickets that night, and he didn't actually "Do" anything to me.

i can't tell you the countless times, I've had cops follow me around for just the way my car looks (small town cops have nothing to do) , and i've never once gotten pulled over for anything, especially the HID's.

i guess it depends where u live.

get the lights. if a cop starts to pull you over be sure to get your crank out in the ready position. once he sees a steaming pile of dick he's not going to be worried about lights anymore. problem solved.

I had it on for 4 months without any problems. Mine was aimed low and never shined in people's cabin area.

I'm fairly certain that any modification of stock lights is illegal. But I did a retrofit with 4300K bulbs, so it definitely looks clean and stock. Any cop who knew anything about Civics would know that they definitely don't come with HIDs, but I've never come across one who knew or cared.

H.I.D.'s trouble?
reflective hid's with D2R/D1R setups have a predefined cutoff...it'sn ot scattered everywhere...
that's the problem with pnp kits...
afterall, check the box of your pnp kit, it will say in big letters
"FOR OFF-ROAD USE ONLY"

people with blinding glare are always happy to post that the cops never bug them.

Until they do :)

They also never post a pic of their headlights from about 30 feet directly in front of their car, at head height, where there supposedly isnt any glare.......

well, down in the southern states, jacked up 4x4 trucks put out more blinding glare in people's rearview mirrors and oncomming traffic than my HID's ever will...so i don't worry about it.
