Quick question on HIDs

I did a search but didn't see anything. I noticed that there are two kits. One is $99 and the other is $129. I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between these two kits...I checked the specs on the ballasts and here's what I found :•

$129.00 kit
Power : 35watts• Voltage: 85V +/- 17V• Service Life: 3500hrs +• Input Voltage: 24V• Working current : 3.5 A nom• Ignition voltage: 23kV Peak Max, 18kV Peak Min• with Lamp Frequency: 450 Hz

$99.00
• Power : 35watts
• Voltage: 85V +/- 17V
• Service Life: 3500hrs +
• Input Voltage: 9V-17V
• Working current : 3.5 A nom
• Ignition voltage: 23kV Peak Max, 18kV Peak Min
• with Lamp Frequency: 450 Hz

Any idea why one kit is cheaper than the other??

I love you (in the most non-homoerotic, platonic way).

Random Q: what vehicle(s) would have a 24V? vehicles with bigger motors? SUVs?

Ninja Edit: "Heavy vehicles such as large trucks, excavation equipment, or vehicles with Diesel engines may use 24-volt electrical systems." ...Wikipedia > me

the ones i have are 12v. dont know what the 24v are for, but the larger vehicles idea, like diesel engines sounds like a good guess. lol

I didn't question it when I was told...it was one of those things that didn't apply to me so I just let it go

i also bought the $99 12v and 35watts. I think the price is different because the higher prices have higher watts. (i.e. 50 watts)

I got mine today (shipped last Thurs). No time to install them yet this week...I'll letcha know when I do.

A friend of mine is helping...he insists that we should remove the bumper & headlamp assemblies. lol. I told him that 99% of the people (on this board who've bought/installed them) haven't, but I'd like to remove the front tires.

I got the 4300K, $99US (came to around $150CDN with shipping, etc.), 9006's.

Pics to come.
