Which one are you using? (tail lights)

Hey Guys... just wondering which bulb you all think will be the best for the rear lights to clear them out

Want to get something that is bright, but gives me more or less a total cleared out look.
Thanks for the opinions in advance!

i think if you use any of the first three bulbs.. you're gonna need some kinda load resistor thingy.. because the leds use such little energy that if you put them in to replace the oem ones.. they're gonna blink REALLY quickly.. therefore most people dont even bother and just use option number 4.. option number 5.. you're still gonna see the yellow reflecting onto the reflector housing from behind.. so it doesn't really "clear the corners" completely..

Go all chrome. [/story]

Picture is horrible and kinda far away but you can see the difference of how the rear end looks. AS far as color, mine are a darker orange than the stock bright yellow color. I like the dark orange better.

#3 is crap, had em in my yaris, the super refractor ones. I'm probably in the next couple of months go #1 or #2. The more LEDs the brighter. I just wish the coupes has 2 tail light bulbs, makes the effect better.

Also note you will need load resistor kits or a flasher replacement otherwise they wont flash or flash like crazy.

If you have a sedan do what i did in my aurora. Make the inner lights on the trunk normal, then on the outer ones you have to find which pin it is and stick a piece of paper in the bulb housing to block it so they dont light up w/ the running lights. So basically the intter lights are running lights and the outside ones only light up when braking, very nice effect like devilles.

well.. obviously the mostly chrome is gonna be brighter than the all chrome.. this is cuz the chrome acts somewhat like a tint and allows light to permeate through.. but not completely.. the mostly chrome.. has more light coming through from the back due to the non chrome backing.. compared to the all chrome ones.. it doesnt make THAT much of a difference.. so just get the all chrome ones

http://autolumination.com/7443_7440.htm you need the 7440 for the rear turn signals...

3157's work on the front turn signals.

I have #5, they work and look okay. once installed you have to look long and hard to see that little bit of amber. plus they are the cheapest option I think, had mine for about a year now.
