For those who replaced fog glass with lexan
Has anyone who has replaced the fog light glass with lexan had any heat problems? I understand that lexan can melt from the heat of the fog bulbs.
Also - has anyone had problems with the lexan becoming brittle after long term use? The reason I ask is because I know regular plastic will become brittle and/or will turn white with repeated heating cycles. Thanks in advance. |

I believe that there is some type of lexan which is high temperature resistant !
Look at this DIY from the RSX forum, you'll see that it resist fo bullet and also to high temperature......much higher than the heat generate by our foglights ! http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=348644 |

I'll just have to glue in the outer ring on the original housing...
these are ebay fogs projector housing but lets try to make them fit into the civic housing... look at the output from the fogs only(NOT MY PiCTURE): ![]() Note: notice the blue cutoff? lol they'll turn from white to blue as well as the projectors depending on how they are being looked at from the distance |
