HID shield alternative?

Hey, guys...I have been doing some research the past few nights as Im gettin rdy to buy some HIDs for my car. I was originally going to attempt a TSX projector retro but i really dont trust my self, nor do i have several hundred dollars to drop on a special mail away retro.

I know when i had my old Mazda they made special H-4 cutoff shields for my car, my question is, is there any for 9006 bulbs, or something i can do to immiate a "shield" for a 9006 bulb...I found a site that mentioned using flat high heat paint in certain spots on the bulb to help cut down on excess glare. Ive yet to see what the results look like when stuck into a headlamp and lit up though...

My question is anyone seen this done before, made a sheild for 9006/know of place that does if so plz post a link

Have to be careful though, with new '06s there is a reflector cone that sits near the front of the bulb. If the shield is too big it won't fit into the socket. I'm not sure how many guys on here actually use them...the halogen reflectors on the new civics are decent and the glare is still bad, but not as bad as most older model cars.
