Lightbulb E46 M3 fog lights on an SI?

So, I went to a Chevy dealership (research!) and noticed that the Cobalt SS has projector fogs. Why the hell Honda can't do this simple addition on a Civic is beyond me but anyway... seeing another members DIY on Nissan fogs on his car got me thinking. What if there was a full set that would work on the FG2. This is where the bimmer lights come into play.

Here's a pic of what they look like

They're oval shaped. Since I'm here in the dirtbowl I can't just readily go out and check the size of BMW lights. Does anyone have an idea if these would work in place of the OEM ones? Or willing to see if they work? I would just go out and try this on my own if I were back home but.....

anything will fit with a little customazation. Even some headlights on the bottom to mimic the WRX fogs. The thing is making some brackets for the fogs to get a clean and perfect fit unless you want some ugly lookin fogs that u can tell they don't belong there?

JDM kills the look of the car. The yellow just doesn't go with my car. But these do.

I'm not saying that it doesn't go with FBP. It doesn't go with my car.

Yep. Thats it. I'm having a retro set made and all they will have is the amber reflector piece. Not the whole insert. I'm using the tiny piece just to get any anxious cops off of my butt should i have a problem.

The projector from the BMW fog will fit with a retro to our fogs. The whole BMW projector and housing looks like it wont fit. What you really want to do is buy a set of 03-05 Lexus fogs. They are true projectors using HID bulbs. That BMW ones in your pic have halogen lights. I know the Lexus fogs are yellow but you can find ones with a clear lense. Seen them on ebay with the clear lenses.

Look at my pics with the yellow retro done. Cant really see the yellow unless you look at it from the front.
