Question about tinting tails...

I've seen a few posts here regarding tinting of the tail lights. The only thing I am not understanding is why people are just spray painting the outside of the light... it looks dull that way. Has anyone done it the proper way and tinted the INSIDE of the light, so that it maintains the glossy appearance? I have done this on previous cars but spraying the outside is the cheap/tacky way to do it IMO.

If anyone has tinted the inside, post pics!

I doubt anyone would rip apart that expensive light housing to tint the inside of it and then have to be worried about getting it all sealed back together and be worried about condensation inside the housing. I think thats why.

i tinted mine on the outside then had em professionally clear coated by a painter...def not cheap/tacky

u have more risk of Effin up your tails if u rip apart your lights from the inside.

if this was true then you wouldnt have people peeling apart their headlights to clear the corners.

I'm on my second coat of clear, have to sand it down once more and two more clear coats and it will be shiny and pretty like aznchzexr. (four coats for the extra shine)

Dull right now, will be shinier than the roof spoiler (spoiler has three coats of clear, two with sanding , last one without sanding)
