07 K2 Fogs. Different Question. Promise.

I purchased the K2 fogs recently for my 07 Si coupe. I haven't received them yet, but I had a question. It says that it comes with a switch. As we all know, the 07's are lacking anywhere to put the switch due to the VSA switch. Then I hear that you can purchase the stalks from a sedan, and use those. But I want to know if it's possible to just not even use a switch. I just want them to come on with the parking lights preferably, but if they were just on with the low beams, I could settle for that. I don't really need or want a switch. So is it possible without ridiculous wiring? Thanks for any help I can get.

You can always wire it per the instructions, but instead of placing the switch (it's a button) where your VSA button already is, just place it under the dash somewhere in the ON position.

Or, you could do some "ridiculous" wiring.

Thats what I figured it would come down to. So no way to have them on with just the parking lights then I assume.

You would have to find the power wire for your headlights and tap into them. The best route is to do what Cameron said. Click the switch on and tuck it up under the dash.

could take out the coin holder and somehow mount it to that, so you still have the switch feature, and it's more stealthy :)

So my K2s finally came in, and I installed them this morning. I was a little concerned because it was missing the blue wire from the OEM instructions. Anyway, I ended up just clicking on the switch and tucking in the space created by the "knee bolster." I ended up lucking out, because the fogs come on with the parking lights, just like I wanted. Not sure why it just works, but I'm quite happy with it. I'll post up a pic later, because I unfortunately have to go to work now.

with the standard install of the k2 fogs thy wont come on unless parking lights are on anyway even if on switch is always on so you will get the same affect u wanted just without a button

So, just drive around all the time with your 'FOG' lights on.. Clear days... foggy days. Irregardless if you need the extra light or not. I guess all I can hope is you have actually aimed them out of other driver’s eyes....

I didn't really need the fog to turn on and off. I live in So Cal where it's pretty much never foggy. I just wanted them to turn on when my lights are on, which is at night. Only at night. They're not really there to help me see in the fog. Just for more light. And I adjusted them so they don't shine into anyones eyes.

Yes, you have to use a cutting tool for the hole. Don't worry if the initial look isn't entirely flush. You will never be able to get it to fit with no gaps. There's going to be no light when the bumper is installed and you won't be able to even see it.
