Clearing Headlights

Okay I know there is a TON of threads on clearing your headlights but my question is how hard is it really. Could an average Joe do this? Also any tips you may have would be great. Thanks and Happy Holidays.:)

its a bitch .. i did 1 and it took 3 hours that includes the bumber removal time but you constantly heat then pry .. remember it hot as shit so its hard to grab and pry without it slideing everywhere.. ok then you get smart and wear gloves .. then the sicilone gets all over your gloves and your shaking the damn light off your hand like its superglued to you .. i hated that project yea it looks good but it will never seal as good as it is now so you will prob. get weter leaks and short your lights out the first time it rains.. do nnot try this unless you are ready to buy another headlight ...seriousley!!!!!!!!

This mod is a bitch, took me 8 hrs because i've never done anything to a car before but it's well worth it once you've done it right.

as long as you have the right tools and some common sense it should go very easy. make sure to take out all the screws holding the lense to the housing and bake in the oven at 230 for ~8 minutes. the lense and housing should peel apart easy as soon as you break the seal with a screwdriver and a putty knife.i find that around the amber corner there is a good area to stick the screwdriver between the lense and the black case until it wont go in any further and slowly pry the two peices apart from there. i did mine in about 2 hours including bumper removal and installation. if it is your first time with taking off the bumper/headlights i would give yourself an entire saturday, just incase it takes longer, you dont want to rush. the worst part is putting your headlights in the oven.....be very careful to watch them so that they do not melt!
