8000k lights not 8000k?? help...

So, I ordered the DDM kit, 35w 8000k headlights. The regular sized ballast kit, and I just got one headlight done, and turned them on and they are bright as a motherf*cker, but they are very bright white. Not even a hint of blue! I really wanted a nice blueish color. It said 8k on the box, so they sent me the right bulbs..its obviously all hooked up right because they are working..so idk why they arent at all blue..anyone know why possibly?

I would pass on the 8k anyway. You get better light with lower K

all of DDM's lights are like almost the same exact color. i bought 5 8k kits from them and they are all like a really bright white when you look at it, but the light color on the street, stop signs and stuff looks kinda blue-ish idk its wierd. when i snapped a picture on my car in day time the lights looked like a really aqua green color. its wierd. even though, they look really nice for a extremely cheap HID kit that provides excellent light output and brightens the whole street

Does anyone know if and where I could buy a different brand of 8000k bulbs, that would work with the ddm kit? I wanna see the difference in color output from other brands of 8000k compared to the ddm.

I dont get why everyone seems to have issues with DDM bulbs all being the same color. I had DDM 6k kits on my motorcycle and they had a nice blueish tint, I went with DDM 5k on my SI and they are pure whte..............Idk

You can always check the QC code yourself and see if it matches with the bulb part number listed above.
