it tells me to do that in the manual, because something is blocking me to access the low beams...but i can fit my hand in to the drivers side
anyways i got it fixed ! i needed to get all the 3 things on the socket to match up the holes in the area... |

It's usually a production thing. They're not going to make perfectly sized bulb sockets for the retainers -- therefore you'll have to force it in. That's what I had to do with my old H7 PnP kit for my Volvo -- ended up using pliers to get enough leverage to push the back part in....

Try this
The issue is that the bulb base and the rubber "O" ring gasket are binding as the bulb is turned the last 1/8th of the way to be fully seated.
Take the bulb out and apply some silicone lubrication spray to the bulb base and the lamp housing "O" ring. Use a Q-tip to apply the lubrication, don't spray it. Then re-insert the bulb and it will probably click into place. If it still binds a bit, and you are reluctant to put too much torque on the bulb, you can push it into place by pushing on the bulb base ear that is the one that is on the click-stop in the lamp housing. I have found using a flat-bladed jewelers screwdriver to push the lamp into position does the trick. |

While switching O rings seems like it is a reasonable solution, does the switching of the O rings still provide the same environmental sealing? Have you tried submersing the headlight housing underwater to see if it leaks?
As many of you can attest to, getting moisture in the headlight housing can be a real bear to get cleaned out. If switching the O ring provides the same amount of sealing, then this is great, but if not, this will cause even bigger problems down the road. |
