so to do this to the fogs also you would have to purchase an additional kit with bulbs for the fogs?

or does anyone think the 8000's would look good with the yellow euro style fogs??

yeah you'd need to get another PnP kit for your fogs.

Do you mean installing a Xenon retrofit for fog lamps? If someone has to ask a question like that, then doing a Xenon fog lamp is well beyond their capabilities. I would recommend that you stay with the halogen lamps for your fog lamps.

I have an kinda off-topic question, but are 6000k Hid's illegal? what is the realistic chance of getting in trouble for them?

for $5 +/- inspection fee + waiting in long lines.

also one more question. are you supposed to plug just the one stock harness into the relay adaptor, and then leave the passenger side one out of the system all together?

Sorry, I misunderstood. No relay harness is necessary for the 8th Gen Civic. Essentially you unplug the old bulb and remove it, then plug the wire from the lights into the Ballast, and the new bulb gets plugged into the Ballast.

Just add 2 things in addition to my original post.

1. Make sure the Ballast is installed with the recessed electrical connector pointed down. This is to prevent accumulation of moisture in the connector.

2. Spray some spray lithium grease in the connector to further weatherproof it.

Thanks. I would still like to install the relay just because. Does it come with instructions on how to install the relay?

Save yourself the pain

Leave the relay harness in the box, you don't need it, especially "just because"!.

And no the kit does not include instructions. It is a generic relay harness kit, and as rule of thumb for its installation is that if it is not obvious how to install the harness, you should leave it well enough alone.

All you will do is introduce something into the equation that gives you more chance of having problems later on. You will gain no advantage to duplicating the OEM harness and its safety systems.
