Thanks dude!..exactly what I was looking for.
Have you bought anything from HIDExpert? Pretty cool they use
Toyota ballasts!

I wonder what the difference is between the D2R and D4R kits.
I like the D4R 4800k bulbs!

You should be looking at the D2S 4300K kit.

It's D2S, rebased to be 9006 to fit your low beam housings.

ok I see the rebased bulbs, but still on their site it says:

What is the difference between D2R and D2S?
- D2S bulbs are designed for projector headlamps.
- D2R bulbs are designed for reflector headlamps.

so D2R right?

The 8th gen Civic uses 9006 bulbs for the low beams, not D2R bulbs.

I understand, but when I'm trying to order the 9006 bulbs it asks which ones D2R or D2S
So which do I choose?

4,300K would be preferable. 6,000K maximum if you were really crazy over that blue light appearance...

So currently I am installing this same exact hid kit.
I am have a problem though, i think.

So far I installed the bulb, mounted the ballast and connected the cables - all on the passenger side.
I tried to turn on my lowbeams and test that side but its not turning on

Do I need to isntall both sides for them to ignite? Also do I need that harness that came with the kit that has the 3 black wires, 1 red wire with red ground?

Hey

I was wondering what the consensus is for this kit. It is quite a bit cheaper than another kit that I am considering. The only difference is the supplier for the more expensive kit (velocity getter) is local, so I figured the service would be better if I ran into any problems with the install or down the road.

Basically, should I spend the extra $80 and get a locally sold kit?

Look at a car with stock HIDs. Those are 4300k.

I have 5000k which is pretty much the whitest white you can get without getting any blue hue. My friend has 6000k and there is some slightly noticeable blue

Im no apple fanboy but I dont like ignorance, The ipod actually saved Apple from destruction you know that right. thats like telling Honda to stop making economic cars and focus on trucks only.
