My HIDs flicker a tiny bit for about the first 2 or 3 minutes that they are on. I never noticed this before. Is it normal?
Also, I want to aim my headlights a little lower. Any recommendations?

it is not normal at all. It should never flicker while fully warmed up

that little yellow tab that's right behind your ballast is the airbag crash sensor, so it's not exactly the greatest place to put them...as long as you don't crash, you should be ok though.

for those of you that bought the kit and received a relay harness...

so i connected the red wire to the positive on my battery...the black wire to my negative....then the remaining connectors i plugged into the ballasts...turn on....nothing comes on....double/triple/quadrouple check my connections...still nothing.

so i try w/o the harness...one turns on and the other just flickers and then ka-poot...nothing comes on.

any suggestions???

I'm getting a slight flicker in just one of mine. Been running them for little over a month. Anyone notice the color shift on one bulb and not the other? One of mine has turned whiter than the other (I have the 4300k).

Just want to comment about this hid kit; I've been using it since December of 2006 and the only problem i had was the 2nd month i've had it, is that one of the ballasts died on me. I emailed the seller about it and I didn't want to wait for the warranty process at all, so I bought one extra ballast from. When i got it and replaced it, it worked. So then I just shipped the broken one back and he refunded me the new one and the $ shipping.

Ever since that, I have been trouble-free and currently using it to power my phillips bulbs/retrofit with this eBay Motors: D2S D2R HID Ballast Connector Harness Adaptor converter (item 120180782067 end time Apr-04-08 10:47:41 PDT) since October 2007.

Where can I get some brackets like the ones you have for your ballasts?

50w ballast

If I have 50w ballast(not 35w), is it still safe to use the civic's harness or should I use the relay harness they provided me?

Thanks

You have to use the Relay. the Civic Harness isnt rated for the 50w kit at all.

so would it be safer if I downgraded to the 35w ballast? and would that affect my brightness?
