Fog Light Stalk Swap

Have OEM fogs with switch installed left of steering wheel. Anyone point me to a DIY swap out for the newer stalk? I see the full DIY installs, but anyway to just swap out the OEM switch for the stalk with minimal destruction?

3 screws underneath....stick your fingers in above the steering wheel in between the wheel and the top plate and pry the top lid up. turn the wheel to get access to the screws better. unclip the wires and it slides straight out to the left. when you put it back together, mind the tabs. it will lock back together correctly if you are nice to it.

Isn't the harness also different? I doubt you can just change the stalk and have it work.

That's what I'm wondering, what is involved with swapping it? If I have to rewire it all it's not worth it, but if I have to swap a harness and the switch then maybe.

are you talking about removing the button on the dash and using the stalk instead?.

yeh im pretty sure those wires are absent from the harness plug on the stalk. you would have to wire those into the stock stalk harness for it to work
