Getting New HID's Installed this Aft...Nervous
Hey all.
Im getting some HIDs this afternoon. Installed everything for 200. With lifetime warranty. Only thing, im worried about modding my 09 EX-L. I know i could be searching for this and im sorry but do HID's do anything to the plastic in the headlight? I also read that if they are installed wrong that the abs system could be messed up. Im also worried about scratches or anything that would look like the car was taken apart for when i re sell in the future! i assume if i want to stop with the HID's i can disconnect everything put halogens and leave the ballasts where they are doing nothing? I just hope everything goes ok with the install. Should i keep a spare halogen with me in case my lights randomly die or something? thoughts? winter? how is it for snow? (again im sorry for not searching but im at work and dont have time to surf the forums though i do regularily love the forums guys! ) |

You mean PnP HID kit, or a retrofit? I bet it is PnP kit since it only cost you $200. For PnP Kit, nothing will be modified on your headlight, they will just plug the rebased 9006 HID bulb into the headlight. Depends on where they want to install the ballasts, they may tkae the bumper off, or the fender liner and wheel off, but nothing you should worry about as long as they are not having super crappy skill.

its only 50 bucks for the install and this is from an actual local HID company so i think they would know whats best. I feel nervous but maybe i feel excited?

if you are nervous about the shop damaging your car you should have just bought a kit and installed yourself. would have been a good learning experience for yourself too.
these kits are call plug n play for a reason...real easy to install with no splicing/modding |
