I made a circuit to turn on a relay when either the Park light is on or DRL is running. The tricky part here is DRL is actually High Beam in about 60% PWM duty cycle, which you can just tap to the high beam and use that to power you LED (for some LED you still can, but it will be dimmer). If you just want you angel eyes light up when park is on, then you just simple tap it from the Park light wire.
And yes, tap to accessory is ok too, but you will need to route the wire through the firewall I guess, which I didn't try. |

SO accessory wire is inside the cabin?
And where can this accessory wire be found? But ya DRLs dont run fully so I don't want dim angel eyes, plus when i turn on my headlights the DRLs turn off and so will my angel eyes. |

Well, with both DRL and Park as trigger signal, it's pretty much able to turn on the angel eye most of the time, the only time it is off (except the car is not started
) will be when you just started you car and never released the hand brake.I'm unable to found any place to tap the accessory inside the engine bay, but I didn't search hard so may be you can found it. To get it inside the cabin, I think the accessory socket or the related fuse is the most obvious place. |

Ya there is a small firewall that I could go through to get into the main cabin for an accessory wire.
But tapping into DRLs would not give me the actual 12 volts that I need? Since DRL run off a lower amount of volts? Does anyone know what volts specifically? And how do i actually connect it to the fuse? Do i wrap the wire around the fuse? Solder? Wire tap? |

As i said, the DRL is actually 12V, but it is using PWM running at about 60% duty cycle. 12V at 60% duty cycle is a square wave with 12V at 60% of the time, and 0V at 40% of time. So, you still need to have your LED able to run at 12V. It is different from a real DC 7.6v supply.

If you can go throught the firewall, I bet tapping to the accessory is the simplest way for you.
For me, I have special needs which anyway I planned to use a realy harness to power the angel eyes directly from battery, so that I tap to both the Park signal and High beam (with a capacitor to smooth the off cycle during DRL) to trigger the relay. |
