Headlights on my 09 Si are garbage...thoughts on HID's??? and angel eyes???

Guys I guess I got used to the HID's on my Nissan...the headlights on my Si are terrible...100% terrible. I need help picking some headlights. I want 4100k or 4300k white and I want phillips or sylvania, end of story.
What kits are available? What companies online are reputable? At this point I'm thinking low beams only as the high beams seem ok on this car. I'd also prefer that the kit be legal IF possible, otherwise its not a big deal.

In addition do they make "angel eyes" for these cars? I was thinking that supplementing the headlights/DRL's with angel eyes would look pretty sick, but I've never seen it on a civic before.

Any thoughts/links/recommendations woudl be appreciated.

HID's aren't legal on any car they weren't installed on from the factory AFAIK.

I put Sylvania Ultra's in my 09 FG2. Works great for me.

I've heard that, but my brother (who's a cop) said that as long as they are white you should be fine.

Yeah I planned on retrofitting but had a few concerns about longevity, how well built are the kits? How hard are they to install? Etc, I planned TSX retrofit for my low beams. High beams are good enough

What kind of Nissan do you have before the Si? I think Civic's headlight is not bad with its brightness and its beam pattern. I can see everything clearly up to 5 cars length ahead.

Longevity will last the life of a normal oem headlight depending on the workmenship.

Some things to consider:

1) making holes in your headlight reflector WILL hurt the overall durability of the unit. Road bumps, potholes and other jarring forces will cause those holes to crack over time. If you make holes, you should be filling them with a strong glue to reduce the effects of cracking.

2) Use a good adhesive like JB-weld and it will hold the projectors in place through just about anything.

3) the less cutting you do, the better, but you will need to cut enough away to fit the projector. discretion is necessary.

Sylvania Ultra's will most likely burn out in 1 year or less 1.5 years tops even says on the box expected lifetime 12 months i had them they were great till they burnt out

Very good post.

If you hire the job out, any good retrofitter will give you a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects (Rich @ HIDIllusionz comes to mind on this one).

Definitely do a retrofit. You can either use your oem headlights or purchase a different set online and tear those apart. TSX projectors are easy to use and have a nice output.
