HID options

I am looking to buy a Civic Si in the next week or two. I am really turned off by the fact that there does not seem to be factory HIDs. What is the best option for HIDs on Civics? I do not want those crap "HID" kits that cause glare and hotspots inside a reflector housing. I want actual projectors and legitimate HID with a proper cutoff.

My current car (just sold) came equipped with HID from the factory. I dont feel confident to do my own retro even though I have taken apart my housings before. What is the best set up? Does anyone offer an HID retro service?

Sorry if this topic has been discussed. I am at work and dont have time to sift. please provide answers or link to previous discussion if your search turns out better than mine. I found Lightwerkz. Any other suggestions?....many thanks.

below are pics of my last HIDs that i did on my MINI.

Here's mine:

Here was my coupe setup:

Sedan (current) has Lexus SC430 projectors and S2000 shrouds
Coupe (sold) had TSX projectors and MDX shrouds

If you are not confident to do your own retro, the the only option left will be paying some professional retrofittor to do that for you. Its strange though as it seems you did something to your previous car already.......

looks like he just opened the headlamps and painted his shrouds red.

Yeah, i just heated the lamps and painted the inside. Did color mod too. I am just not confident in my ability to cut, adhere, modify the various pieces and have them stay put and look good.

I heard Rich at HID IllusionZ did pretty good retrofit job in reasonable price, and he has a group buy event for civic running at the moment, check your PM.

Lightwerkz seems ok, but their price seems pretty high when compare with others, while I don't really see they did the job a lot better.
