From the few pictures I've seen of plug-and-play HID on the Civic, the glare is acceptable. It's the narrow beam pattern that frustrates me. What camera settings (shutter and f stop) did you use for that last picture?

Nice. Is that just plug and play? Also where did you purchase it?

The beam looks more narrow than it is because of the incline of my driveway. I can post more pics tomorrow night of the car in the street and the light pattern down the road.

Camera is a pretty simple (albeit impressive for it's age) Olympus D-550 3.2 MP digital camera. Settings were full auto accept for the flash (top pic was with flash, bottom pic was without).

Yep - plug and play. It's an ebay kit but among the nicer kits I've seen on ebay.

-Connectors are all waterproof
-Nice brackets
-Quality instructions (with nice color/glossy photos)
-Nicely packaged, comes with all hardware

The only downside to this kit is the fact the the bulbs themselves required a bit more force to click into the OEM housings than the OEM bulbs due to the thickness of the bulb base. I got it, but it just took a little effort - I'm sure it would have been easier if I took the bumper off :)

hey adam....looks good! How blue/purply are the 6000's? I'm up in arms as to what i should get, 4300 or 6000's? I just don't want these to be too blue to get un-needed attention. What are your thoughts on the glare so far?

If one were going the plug-and-play route, my recommendation would be either to buy the OEM ballasts and bulbs from the seller 9006integraHID or whatever his ebay seller name is, or get the cheapest kit possible off ebay.

^ 9006integraHID (or similar) is the owner of the site called www.hidexpert.com . His name is Lichong Cai, and is very informative on his products and sells quality DENSO and McCULLOCH brand equipment.
