HID Probs

I got an HID kit (full) 9006..bulbs and ballast. Taken off an 95 accord sedan. I tried wiring up the kit on my civic 07 sedan. And no lights.. Anyone have ideas? I asked a friend of mines that also owns the same car he wasn't to sure about it either..but he did say it might have something to do with the ballast's power or something. Ideas?

I'd say polarity or connectors not fully seated. I gather you know that the kit worked and that you tried both ballasts, etc.

As db8typer asked, the connectors match up with your civic don't they? Also, purple and other colors (I think I've also seen blue or green) in our civics are the +12 voltage.

make sure all the connectors are plugged in properly. something you got to play with the wires for a little bit before they fully work.

Yeah the kit is PNP all match up and fit perfectly. But doesn't seem to light up at all. I'm 100% sure that the kit works.

Polarity..

Remove the pins from the connector and swap them (as in, remove the left pin and put it in the right pin slot, etc)

Faulty Ballast, unless it was completely dead, would at least attempt to fire.. even if it flickered..

These are pretty old ballasts. If the ballasts are good they don't appear to be getting power (or enough power). As everyone is mentioning it could be polarity of the voltage to the ballast or the connectors aren't seated.

Look at your ballast and it may show which side of the connection is positive and try to confirm that your connector is wired the same. Purple, blue (I think), red all could be positive on your civic. Maybe even green. Black is typically your negative connection.

If you are entirely stumped some closeup photos of your install may help showing connections or at least make the thread a bit more interesting.
