gunmetal for my retros?
I'm about to send my parts off to HID Illusionz and still don't know what I"m going to do with the housings. I have a Galaxy Grey '06 LX sedan with a full nose mask:
![]() My retro is TSX projectors with E46 shrouds. I really like the chrome look of the other retros that I've seen, and I don't like the black look since I have the nose mask. After looking at HID Illusionz' site, I saw the gunmetal option and fell in love with it. I just don't know if it would look right on my car. I'm wanting to have the low beam reflector and shroud, and the ring around the high beam reflector painted gunmetal. I also want to keep the turn signals amber (I personally don't like the clear lens look on this car). What do you guys think about gunmetal for my retro? And, has anyone had gunmetal done on there 8th gen civic retros yet? I would love to see some pics if someone has. Thanx |

Go to lightwerkz and hidillusionz website. Check out their gallery, and browse through the photos you should find some.
I too will be going with Rich for my retro service. I am going to go chrome and have that stock clean look. Good luck with your project and post some pics up once its done. |

i got mine done by rich as well, blacked out housing (on a nhbp)
Did you try e-mailing him and asking if he has photos, they usually take pics of all thier work. When i emailed him amillion times over a month span he was always responded in a reasonable time. retrofit@hidillusionz.com |

ok, after looking at the retros done on HID Illusionz and Lightwerkz' sites, I've decided to go with the minigun shrouds rather than the E46 shrouds I currently have. I'm also pretty sure that I'm going to have all the chrome switched to gunmetal (except the high beam reflector of course), and I'm going to e-mail Rich to see if he can gunmetal the front grill also (thanx striker_1818 for that idea

good luck withe everything delta, let us know how they come out...putting mine in tommorow ![]() for what its worth, have you looked at mdx or s2000 shrouds? much cleaner imho and rich is great and all, but youll save alot of money if you paint your own grille, i would say its very easy and im not a big DIY'er |

Rich at hidillusionz charges $250 for labor and Caesar at Lightwerkz $375. They also do the whole package deal. But if I was you just source out your parts. Pay the retrofitter labor and the return shipping. Depending on your setup it would be between $500-$800. Still not cheap but for me its all worth it.
